Following the footsteps of Leonardo da Vinci

Title: A walk in VINCI, following Leonardo’s footsteps. TWO TICKET OPTIONS TO CHOOSE FROM. PLEASE RSVP WITH YOUR OPTION AND NUMBER OF PEOPLE.

Total climb: +/- 480m  

Terrain: Forest, paths and asphalt

Level: Moderate, bring poles if you have them.  

Steady walk up for half of it and then down and then a little up again.  

Pack:  Water , at least 1L, packed Lunch, snacks , wallet, poles, hiking boots if you have them. 

1. OPTION ONE: Hike only 9:30-14:30

Description: A beautiful walk in the footsteps of Leonardo, we start walking through the olive trees called the “green path” from  Anchiano, 

Along the way we  will walk through the amazing Vallebuia (“the dark valley”), where we will admire the ruins of water mills. The Valley of Mills it’s on the slopes of Montalbano hill: its green and lush forest, the freshness of the stream, small villages, parish churches and the history of the area where Leonardo spent his childhood are the highlights of our day.  You will feel like you are immersed on his painting as the landscape is very familiar to a lot of his works. We will loop back to the parking lot where we met to start the walk. 

2. OPTION TWO : Hike + tour of town of Vinci with professional guide and visit to Leonardo’s home and museum. 

Bring: Packed Lunch

Cost: 45 Euro value ( $54)

Time: 9:30-17:00 ( you do not have to stay the whole time if you need to go, you have the option to leave the tour early if you need to )
