Guided Hike in Peccioli by Natasha Garland

Thanks in part to its innovative mayor, Peccioli is focused on sustainability and resilience to the effects of climate change.  It's also celebrated for its contemporary art collection, an inovative contrast to its original Etruscan roots.  We’ll begin with a short visit to the town followed by a guided 7 km walk with Natasha Garland through the beautiful vineyards and hillsides surrounding the village. The walk will begin and end in Peccioli.  After, we’ll make a short drive to Natasha’s home where we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch.

Time & Location: 10am.  Meet at  GPW9+XQ Peccioli, Province of Pisa. 

 Park in the garage and take the elevator to the top for views over the countryside.

Distance: 7km loop hike

Terrain: Woods, rocky, asphalt and urban

Level: beginner/ intermediate.  Some terrain will be uphill on paths.

What to bring: backpack with bottle of water, poles if you need them, hat , sunglasses, picnic lunch.
