Description: This walk is guided by Lorenzo. Starting from Fiesole we walk through the park of Montececeri and by the interesting “latomia” quarry of pietra serena known as Cava Braschi. We reach Maiano and follow a scenic road on the slope of the hill, which takes us to he 15thcentury convent of San Domenico and then the even older Badia Fiesolana. Our next stop is the well hidden church of Fontelucente, a 17th century oratory built around a spring of water considered to hold thaumaturgical powers. The walk is completed by following the Via Vecchia Fiesolana ,dotted by many villas, back to Fiesole.
