About the Event
Professionally guided fast paced LOOP hike that starts from Cemetery of Settignano and then hike up through the woods and open stretches with views around the slopes of Monte Fanna. The second part of the hike is through the valley of the river Sambre, a very important area for the ancient Etruscans. Following the stream we reach beautiful waterfalls which serves as a bathing area for locals in the summer.
Distance:Â 11km
Total climb :Â 500m (1,640 Feet)Â Lots of uphill ladies
Terrain:Â Woods, uneven terrain, unsure footing. ( wear proper hiking shoes if you have them )
Level: Moderate and you should have a decent fitness level.
What to bring: Hiking boots / Water Bottle/ Snacks / sandwich/ hat/sunglasses/ Backpack/ Walking sticks/ binoculars

NOTE: This walk has a second longer option which we can decide after 3 km. It adds an hour ( end at 14:00)and about 4 km or so making it 15km in total and a climb of 700m in total. We would arrive at Poggio Pratone at the via degli Dei. Gorgeous panoramic views. It adds about 4km in length and additional steep climb of 200m.  Not planning on it, but we can take a vote after walking a bit and all decide.
