International Woman's Day Urban walk followed by Wine and Cheese

Monteripaldi and Santa Margherita a Montici

This walk is the opportunity to know less famous places south of the Arno but rich in history. From Cascine del Riccio, born around the quarry of pietraforte, we will reach Monteripaldi, an ancient castrum of lombard origin. From here we go through Pian dei Giullari which served as headquarter for the troops of Charles V during the famous siege against the city of Florence in 1529. Walking by Santa Margherita a Montici, whose tower was built by the Amidei family in the 12th century, we reach San Niccolò and finally the Formaggioteca for a delicious wine and cheese tasting.
