Ponte a Mensola Walk

This is a nice easy walk in and around the park and river Mensola.  Surprisingly, this area just outside the city offers an unexpected green scenery and its varied rural landscape includes villas that were inhabited by famous people like Eleonora Duse, Gabriele d'Annunzio and Michelangelo. 

Distance:  7km 

Total climb : about 300m (985 feet) 

Terrain: gravel and paved roads

Level: Easy

What to bring: backpack/snacks/ water bottle/ hat/sunglasses/ walking sticks/Hiking boots/binoculars

Meeting point:  Park along Via Palazzeschi near intersection with Via della Torre, in Rovezzano area.
