About the Event
Families Welcome! Come for a very beautiful walk, very scenic, touching both the parish and village of San Filippo in Ponzano and the magnificent parish of Sant'Appiano. We pass through vineyards and olive groves.
Distance: 8km
Time: 3 hours walk ( with stops)
Terrain: Dirt and field roads. Short paved sections.
Altitude gain: +/- 480 mt
There are a few climbs. So wear proper shoes. ( but we are rewarded by the arrival at Pieve di Sant' Appiano!
Reccomended long pants as some areas may be tall grass.
We will enjoy a fantasia of appetisers prepared by the farm including fresh ricotta. Followed by pasta, risotto and a wonderful homemade dessert. We will pair our meal with a tasting of 4 wines from the estate!

Driving is about 40 minutes from Florence city center so plan accordigly to arrive on time ( 9:15) for the start of the walk!
